Our ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Medical Management (AMM) is responsible for the management and support functions of the healthcare delivery companies: Multi-Specialty HealthCare (MSHC), Harford Ambulatory Surgical Center (HCASC) and Baltimore Work Rehab (BWR).These include services specific to our industry such as: Medical Case Management The internal monitoring of cases is a hallmark of our system. There is a triad of interested parties that we are attentive to: the patient, the healthcare provider and the insurance carrier.The patient is first and foremost as the patient’s health is our primary concern. We believe that creating an open line of communication between the patient, the medical provider and the insurance carrier is a very important service that we provide to the healthcare community. Medical Coding Medical Coding or Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) describes the level of complexity of an encounter between a doctor and a patient. The level of coding ranges from simple to very complex. The medical provider is responsible for administering the appropriate level of care as well as determining the most accurate description of the complexity of that care.AMM has a number of employees who are certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and we have in place a process to ensure procedural “right coding” on an ever-improving basis. Corporate Compliance A Corporate Compliance function is essential to policing our own delivery system. It involves appropriate CPT coding as well as a host of other issues involved in the highly regulated healthcare environment. We strive to educate and provide prudent oversight to the healthcare delivery companies we support. AMM is a patient oriented delivery system doing what’s best for the patient in a compliant fashion.Additional Services - AMM provides additional support services such as Executive, Financial, Facilities Management, Equipment, Information Technology, Medical Transcription, Human Resources, and Patient Scheduling at our state-of-the-art Corporate Office in Baltimore, Maryland. |
